Fri, 06/29/2007 - How come then, the living home land area for Innocent Hadzabe people being leased to United Arab Emirates royal family for the sake of establishing “personal safari play ground”! Calling them “backwards” now leasing their land! This is totally unfair and it violates human rights!
Where is democracy? Is it not for real that our Tanzanian Government a democratic government?! If the answer is yes, does it not follow and obey the definition postulated by Sir Abraham Lencollin; government for the people by the people!
If that is the case now, what sort of plan is this for? Why do top officials want to temper by making irrational decisions which will end-up jeopardizing the lives of good and innocent people Hadzabe? Just to please the United Arab Emirates royal family!? This is very strange and inhuman indeed and should be condemned by any humanitarian personnel!
If the World would have been unfair like what you are planning to lease the 2500 square miles of innocent Hadzabe just because you want to modernize them, I strongly believe no one among us would have been surviving on this planet we call the Earth simply because none of the tribe in our country is modernized! Even though, the process of development is a gradual one! How come then, you want to speed-it up and specifically to innocent people Hadzabe? Why don’t such kinds of favour of constructing schools, infrastructure, hospitals etc. be directed to other tribes like chaggas (in Kilimanjaro), Meru (in Arusha) etc? Instead of disturbing Hadzabe people who need nothing from such “good offer” wherever you call! which you are promising to them!? You top government officials, Just imagine, what if the piece of land which belong to your tribe would have been leased to United Arab Emirates royal family to be used as special recreation area for personal safari playground!? Would you have been happy with compensation as you trap these innocent and good Hadzabe people?
Please, I beg you! Leave these innocent Hadzabe people alone to enjoy their God given homeland! They neither need your compensation nor your good offers! What they need is to stay in their mother land peacefully while hunting and gathering! Where do you want them to go and live if you lease their homeland to United Arab Emirates royal family?
My suggestion and concern to our government top officials is pretty much forward that; Don’t please for heaven sake make irrational decision to lease the homeland that belong to innocent Hadzabe to united Arab Emirates royal family! Leasing their land to other people will end-up disrupting the peace and love existed among them!
