UN CAMPAIGN
see the UN review campaign of the disgraceful 1969 "Act of NO Choice" This is an international campaign to get Kofi Annan to review the UN's role in the 1969 'Act of Free Choice' that shamefully allowed Indonesia control of West Papua. If you are a member of organisation, a politician, a VIP - anything, however involved - please sign up. We need to get as many organisations and individuals (inc. politicians) to write to Kofi Anan and add their name to a list of supporters.

PRISONER SUPPORT
Following the massive support for Benny Wenda during his incarceration
we have begun to publish lists of more political prisoners and contact details
for the prisons. You can support prisoners in Papua by contacting the prisons
direct – lists
and info are available here and get alerts when people are arrested by

You can also send money to prisoners to help pay for food (prison food can be poisoned) and legal costs.

Students and members of DeMMak have requested help with communications. They need basic help with paying phone and internet bills. They also need computers (laptops can be sent, otherwise send money and they can buy desktops out there), digital and video cameras.

INFORM PEOPLE
Show the film 'Papua
Merdeka' (we can loan you a copy, email us). Also, the film 'Freedom for
West Papua' is available from ssp@eco-action.org.
Host a talk, (contact Mike for speakers) or show an exhibition (downloadable display available here) 10 x A4 photos and text in a 6.3mb zip file).
Distribute copies of the Internationalist special on West Papua - available from Free West Papua Campagin - UK.
Write articles and get media contacts/friends to write and publish stuff.
PAY FOR PAPUAN PUBLICATIONS
AMP (Papuan Students) have written a number of booklets for their people about tactics, tribal democracy, threats from the West like corporations and organising themselves. They have set up Watch
Papua to help publish them. They need money to print and distribute. A little $, £ or Euro goes a long way out there. Contact: Watch Papua and Click to Donate.
HELP PAPUAN ACTIVISTS ABROAD
There are already a few DeMMaK/AMP representatives abroad. Some are now living in exile following persecution from Indonesia. There are more who would like to be able to travel to create links with other activists and other struggles, and to learn skills and languages. Money is desperately needed to support those already out of Papua and those who still want to travel. Donate here Also offer to host Papuans in your country, help with accommodation and meetings etc. There are currently many Papuans who want to do this work but need money.
